It sounds like you’re on the right track. One thing I would suggest is to change no more than one variable at a time and write down any changes in a notebook. So if you change the speed and remove o-rings simultaneously, which caused the improvement? Anyway sounds like things are getting better so that’s good. Keep experimenting. And please post result.
