Air Venturi Help removing Avenger plastic stock

Howdy! Want to remove mattel stock to install Black Arts barrel band kit. Nowhere to be found is instructions on removal of black stock, plenty on wood, but zero on plastic. Might just try and install barrel band on shroud and tank and see if it helps. Any advise is greatly appreciated

It's not the same? I can't see them making it different because that would cost more.

it occurs to me.... even b4 my purchase arrives that the WOOD stock is much nicer... can one buy a wood stock and replace the plastic?
