Hi
Annyong haseyo! I got this scope with a used 177 Beeman R8 and it's an old similar era Korean 3-9x40AO Duplex with a 7.5yd minimum focus. There's no marking other than KOREA and my best guess is that it may be a Bushnell Sportview or an RWS 450. Seller doesn't know. Here's some pictures. The front objective glass pushes inward which seems to be under some weak spring tension roughly 1/4" as I tried to clean the glass. Is this normal? Glass seems clear. I haven't ever recalled any scope front objective glass moving in and out with some spring tension just be putting a little pressure on the glass. What do you think? If it's a defect I would need to know the company that sold it whether Bushnell or RWS for ??? What say you? Thanks. Kamsahamnida! Yo!

Holy Crap yes when it's at minimum focus it's loose more springy but noticed it goes in deeper like almost an inch inwards while on infinity its a little stiffer and less inward travel like just over 1/4 inch. Yo!

I could be wrong, but that tells me it is designed that way. The spring pressure is used to keep "tension" on the AO so that it doesn't move inadvertently.
