I have a Shoebox Max 4500psi compressor I bought back in February and I need help removing the auto shut off. I can't stand the noise it makes when the pressure starts to get higher in my CF tank.

I'm currently topping off my 72cuft. TigerShark tank and that clacking noise from the auto shut off is driving me bonkers.

I have a F8 and the electronic cut off is really nice, makes no noise at all. I'm sure you could probably put one on the Max

Yeah I keep constantly checking the fill pressure so I don't need the shutoff feature. Thanks for the advice I'll try it out on my next top off.

I know I'm late to the game here, but here is what I did:
Moved the on-off switch to the left (now it is in place with only a one-screw connection to the Shobox casing). This has the advantage that re-connection if/when desired is super easy, and I don't have any removed parts lying around that I'll surely lose.
All this said, I may sell my Max and spring for Shoebox's faster new model with electronic (quiet) shutoff.
