I've never seen that brass piece on a Puncher Breaker before and I've disassembled over 150 of them. Possible it was part of an anti tamper which we don't have in the US. As far as leaking from the barrel. That's coming from the valve stem seal (Poppet). Rifle will need to be cocked and a blast of air from a tank to seal it or it's possible gotten damaged or debris stuck in the seal. Good luck

I've fought w removing that valve from the same gun before. Like before mentioned you must use a heat gun to gradually add heat in a round motion as evenly as you can for 2 inches or less of the tube that contains the threads obviously. I've found it isn't like a pop and it's loose like a jar it's more like a very slow spinning with much drag when you do get the lock tight in there warm enough to give. So use a good spanner on the flat part where the stem comes out and either a strap wrench or something similar to hold tube. Obviously don't hold tube where threads are and don't crush tube (its pretty sturdy and would be pretty hard to crush IMHO) and once it starts to spin just keep spinning slowly until it loosens all the way adding heat if needed as u go. If you have any more specific questions message me please. Good luck and always degas by loosening gauge or brass plug first. Also u will most likely need heat to reinstall it all the way tight if u don't get it all the way tight ur barrel band grub screws won't align w previous original marks and the print on bottom of tube won't be aligned at the 6 o clock position anymore either so make sure it's all the way tight when done because the first 2 or 3 times u swear it's all the way tight and can't get any tighter.... It still has to go tighter!
