Reentered air gun when covid arrived. Really enjoy recreational back yard shooting at 25-30 yards; thinking about adding a rifle with more punch to reach further out. Please give recommendations. Thanks
I do not own one yet. It is listed at 8.8 pounds plus the scope so it isn’t light. I’ve read that most people would rather carry the Beeman r9/Hw95. It puts out 15-17 foot pounds and will do about anything you will ever need a springer to do. I do have the hw50 Hunter also and a HW97.
AOA sells a HW95L Field Pro package. Both the HW95 and the R9 have recently been reviewed on the AEAC YouTube channel. Those reviews are really worth watching before you “ pull the trigger “.
The 95 and 97 have the same power plant, so the same power. A lot of owners think they perform best at 12 ft lbs of energy. That power level is possible from your HW50. I like my 97 for the weight and stability, not necessarily for the power.
