Help me find a case for my Texan LSS

So my dad and I both got Texan Lss CF rifles this year. We thought some of our larger shotgun soft cases would work but no luck. I was wondering if you guys have found any affordable options for hard or soft cases. If it's a soft case it needs to be thick padding. Id love a budget option but I'll pay more if I need to. I just can't afford a hard case from Pelican or something like that. I'd really like to keep the hard case under 200.
 
Pelican (hard) cases work fine for transporting a Texan. If you can find the Apache type cases at Harbor Freight at a decent price that should work similarly. You may be able to find a single-rifle Pelican case for under $200 on sale. If I find a sale link I’ll post one. For a carbine a shorter case may be more desirable.

HI Raden,

I'm the type of bench shooter that prefers to keep my gun intact as much as possible when taking it in and out of the rifle case. I have the .257 LSS and had no luck finding a 60" rifle case without spending big bucks on a custom case. So I improvised the "discounted" rifle case that was bundled with the Texan from Utah Airguns.



Keep in mind that the $69.99 case provided by Utah Air is really a cheap $35 case from China. However, it's probably the longest case at 51" that is available. With my DIY mod, I no longer have to remove the moderator or butt pad when removing the gun from the bench. I just need to remove the Fclass bipod and then chuck the Texan into the case.



This mod is not for everybody. Just for the practical DIY shooter. I got the document carry tube from Amazon and cut and attached the extender to the bottom of the case with Gorilla tape. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PKRKK7Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Until I can find a reasonable priced 60" case, this is how I will roll.
