Help me decide....Target gun Purchase

I'm getting ready to make a purchase on my next airgun. I shoot paper (for fun) 90% of the time. I have it narrowed down to two choices... I would appreciate any input.

best accuracy & no Co2

Crossman Custom shop,2240 w/Lothar barrel & long steel breech.
Accuracy should be good with the Lothar barrel. Is the metering precise enough for top accuracy?
Looks & price are better IMHO

so, the easy answer is find a IZH 46M and some will say this and that about the 2240 hell i own 12 or 13 of them
so if you buy a 2240 the breech is gone, the barrel is gone and now you have no sights
then you take the trigger group off and replace it with a 1720p trigger group and take the hammer and thrown that in the box and get the one used in the 1720p
now you are left with the ugly 2240 tube that wouldn't pass Ray Charles quality control a valve and tube ends

will the IZH 46m cost more than a custom parts 2240 YES all day but you will have a pistol that can outshoot you forever
and if you want to go back and build a 2240 or a 2300s you can

and you can see from the list the Crosman can be built from parts
of course i have forgot something
hell i bet i could get a Diana Chaser to shoot as well the Crosman

downside of the IZH 46m no parts but the soft parts can be found, grip can be made by Rink breech seals can replaced by Oring instead of the factory seals they are very easy to cock and the sight are fine and the trigger is first class

just my opinion you gave me two pistols to choice from and i know both well

Another vote for the Izzy. Great target pistol, 10 rings are easy indoors and will hit cans at 20 yards all day long outdoors. They dropped the mic after building the Izzy, it is perfect.

The long cocking stroke makes it very easy to accomplish and the trigger is right around four ounces out of the box. Great sights that are easy to dial in with no tools needed. I liked mine so much I purchased a Rinke grip for it.

The pistol has two o rings that are easy to lose if the pistol is not cycled correctly. However standard o rings work fine. I purchased 100 o rings for less than five bucks and I keep a couple of spares in my pistol case just in case.

No question, the Izzy is best of the two. Accuracy is great. Consistent velocity. Single stroke, so can always be ready, don’t need to worry about co2.

Just not seen any kind of comparable accuracy from the 2240. And just keep needing to buy more parts and stuff .

Used to have Izzy and really liked it. It is slightly front heavy, but still great for 10m target shooting. Only reason I sold it was to upgrade to a better match pistol, and helped out another younger shooter in our club.

IZH46 is available new from Pyramid i think , Or you can find at the Airgun shows .

IZH would be my choice , also i have both and only shoot my IZH with lefty grips .
