Top picture is 9 recovered shots at 32 yards from modified slightly Discovery. It just spit 9 (hole in hole at 11o'clock of quarter trace.)
2nd picture is backstop. Metal 55 gallon lid hit plate, 3 layers of steel, another 55 gallon lid all propped up so impact is flat no angled. Target has give. Big stone behind it and a few in front to hold up steady. I know if I shoot anything, even 21.1g Kodiaks at 32 yards they are disintegrating.
Last picture is from where I shoot when want cover. Off porch rail. 125 yards is available to me but not from a bench.
So looking at these, what would you say they are coming out of muzzle at & hitting with at 32 yards? I had 2 in 1 hole, punched through lid. Distorted them. One blew up. 6 are petaled nicely & 0.108-0.123 high, 4 of them at 0.111, smallest .108, highest 0.123 (can't believe. I'm "that" guy out there with mics, calipers, a $275.00 depth gauge, gauging penetration & studying Splatology. Mom would be proud.) So bottom line I THINK they are hitting with at LEAST 700FPS & DARN close to 900 or quite faster at muzzle as I don't have a Chrony but I did & I know 7 turns out on a 2K fill w/ 7.9's gave 900fps average shot string of 30.
Anyone help me out? I'm considering porting gauge block to .151" adding Bayldyga's hammer & either a 26" Maximus barrel or 28-32" TJ liner. I just have to be able to support it. Time valve opening or put in a reg or debouncer. My goal is getting at least 20 consistent shots with 16.1 Eun Jin's at 945 (32ftlbs gives almost 14" penetration in Fed grade gel) or 50-60 shots @ 22-28ftlbs w/ Crosman 10.5 Ultra Mags. Any help is appreciated.
