Help deciding on .30 bullpup - I chose the Uragan .30 Standard

I'm looking at getting a .30 bullpup and have two front runners at the moment.

AGT Uragan Standard .30

Kalibrgun Cricket II Tactical .30

I've shot a Cricket II .22 bullpup and it was very nice. Smooth trigger, nice feel, quiet (other than HS twang), extremely accurate.

I like the sealed mag of the AGT because it would allow for slugs, but I have no idea if the Uragan is slug friendly. Not a dealbreaker.

So, if you have experience with either, or both, in .30 I'd be interested in input on comparing trigger, noise (both from HS and in general), accuracy, overall joy of ownership and shooting, accuracy, tunability, etc.

No clue man. I wish I had experience with those guns. They both seem very good. I can say that I was extremely impressed with the Benjamin bulldog. You kind of really need to buy the Pitt bull barrel stabilizers for like 15 bucks but once you do you get a hard hitting 357 that is plenty accurate for hunting. I know that's not the question you asked but it's my only experience. Are you trying to do hunting with it or just ringing steel?

I had the same decision to make and went with the Cricket 2 You are going about making your decision correctly by getting hands on information. I don't notice any hammer twang that is distracting. The trigger is not easy to adjust, but for a hunting gun I find it quite good and I am trigger picky. I have been tight with my pellets and only ran eight shots over the chrony to test at different HS settings. It came shooting 44.8's at 909 F.P.S. and a ES of 8 F.P.S. with the HS turned up1/4 turn I got 925.4 F.P.S. with the same ES. More HS gained nothing. I settled on 1'8 turn up from stock with a average of 920 F.P.S. and 85 F.P.E. The reason I picked the Cricket was the un choked poly barrel with a 29.9twist. I had no plans for shooting slugs and the slow twist is great for long range stability. Accuracy is fantastic and I get 20 shots per fill from a 3800 psi fill. The problem I have is I want the Uragan too and the only way to rid myself of temptation is to yield to it !

I've been searching through previous threads with similar questions and all of them seem to lead to the Uragan over the Cricket. One guy saying he got 70 shots tuned up to 110fpe - that's pretty impressive - I don't have a need to push it that hard.

The target with 44.75gr pellets at 100 yards are very impressive. Targets with the NSA 49.5 even more so.

Leaning to the Uragan at this point, but more reading to be done.

Remember that I was filling to 3800 PSI and not the 4300 PSI max. The Uragan gets more shots per fill because it has a lot higher volume. That doesn't always mean they use less air, you just don't have to fill as often. I also would suggest talking to Charlie. What ever you get I hope you have a good compressor because they suck some air! !

uragan .30 and send it to zx10wall for his power tune....got me right at 100fpe with nicks 47.2 hp-db slugs

within .50 @ 75yrds, .62 @ 100

BTW.... how is that Altaros Booster working for you ??

i think my shoey needs a rest !!

On the Uragan how is the hammer spring set? I can handle a hex or a turn knob, but is it accessible w/o removing the stock?

Just remove the stock, and there's an Allen screw to untight, then rotate with the same Allen to get more or less power.

Super easy and no special tools needed.

Follow the same way as if it was a Charles Chaplin movie. Turn off the speaker and see what they do:
