Help deciding on .30 bullpup - I chose the Uragan .30 Standard

One more question for you guys - what is the diameter of the shroud on the .30 Standard version? I've read the threading is typical 14x1.25.

In my Uragan .22 Cal, the shorud is not the fat one that comes with the Uragan King.

Can you tell me what the diameter is? I wouldn't be getting the King - I just could never get over the phallic look from the front.

My .30 Uragan Standard arrived from AoA today. Shooting the 44.75 right at 85 fpe. This gun is a beast - powerful and accurate and the 85 fpe shot cycle is very smooth.

Got the Huma reg so I'll install that sometime in the next week.

Gotta try some NSA 49.5s now as every thread I've thread has said they are the shizzzz.

Well done my friend!

Wise decision !!

So no joke - this is not a quiet rifle in .30. I measure 117dB next to my ear using dB Meter Pro on my iPhone. I tried the Sarissa and Flax on this one but I suspect since I have the hi flow inserts for the Leshiy 2 it was not as effective as it would have been with a medium flow insert.

The real surprise was a moderator I had been looking at for a couple of years and wondering. A .30 Huggett Mini Magna was posted up in the classifieds here and I thought why not give it a try. Arrived today and a few test shots - holy crap - brought it down 10 dB if not a touch more. Super effective - so much so I've been shooting it at ~90 fpe in my basement and the wifey isn't even complaining.

I finally got a chance to stretch out the Uragan further than my indoor 13 yards. Raining heavily today in the northeast which always means a good day for 46 yards shooting from the mud room. Shooting seated in a chair with rifle tripod mounted.

Two mags of 9 shots with the NSA 49.5gr slugs. First mag on the right to get sighted in. Second mag on the left. Red ring measures 1".

Nice groups!

It seems to me that all of these top level airguns really shoot very well in .30 cal. My Impact and Crown will both do 1/2 MOA groups at 50 yards and both do better in .30 cal than in .22 or .25
