I grew up in Baltimore City. I could shoot in my backyard from inside my garage all day and night . Just had to stay in the garage so the police helicopter did not see a guy with a rifle topped with the Hubble space telescope.

I had a 75 foot indoor area workshop and a back yard. I set up a field target range with spray paint lines every three feet and a movable target board.I use a 10x12 Tool shed and do much the same. LOL But it also keeps me out of the wind and weather as well.
Had to have been hard to give that setup up!I had a 75 foot indoor area workshop and a back yard. I set up a field target range with spray paint lines every three feet and a movable target board.
I am very bad at shooting in the wind.
There are no range officers. That is the problem. The only reason people are not injured is because people in general are responsible and there has not been a problem I have seen.As far as air guns are concerned I don't like all the noise that goes along with public ranges but: in my area the range officers would quickly expel you for shooting or even touching your weapon if the range was cold.
I am on the edge of Ole Miss Iowa/Ill border. I would love to do the same.I'm in Minnesota but go to Vinton quite regularly. I'd love to come down and shoot with you all.
