Tuning Helliboard

Same for me. Bought one... so nice bought 2 more so they're on all 3 of ours.

It would be just like changing pellets.... select the pl that's appropriate for the projectile and velocity you want. You might want to raise or lower the voltage within the selected pl to get to the velocity exactly , but that's about it for me. Of course they can be tuned very carefully to achieve a wide, flat velocity curve but after tinkering with mine quite a bit, I'm just fine with selecting a pl and moving the voltage up or down.

Jack is a great chap and provides plenty of tech support should you need it.

I have a helliboard fitted to my Redwolf .25 and have managed to do a tune for 25.39g jsbs and 26g hades that gives me over 80 shots from a full fill of 250 bar down to 165bar ( using a 580cc bottle) i found for pellets of this weight 84 volts seems to give me ample velocitys ( 920fps for jsb 25.39g and 910 for the hades) .

You can just shoot using jacks preset power settings and like bob says you just find a pellet that works well and then go up and down the voltage to fine tune or you can take things further by shooting a entire shot string from 250 bar down to say, 160 bar ,note the velocitys and corresponding "R values" and then adjust each pulse width up or down and with a bit of luck you will build yourself a nice flat curve for whatever chosen projectile you use.

Thank you all! My red wolf will love this. I just sent him an email. Currently mine on high shoots the JSB exact Heavy 18 grain at @900FPS. And low I have had some pellets not fully exit the Barrel?! I got the gun used so somebody got in and played around and didn’t know what you’re doing. I do still love the gun just needs some love

You wont be upset you got the board. On the standard settings that come from Jack I have the 18.1's shooting at 900 on set 9 and then the 16 grains shooting on power 4 for backyard pesting and plinking. I forgot the speed, but it is plenty slow for the yard. And what is nice is that on power 9 I have the 18's zeroed at 50 yards, and this happens to line up for my zero at 30 yards on power 4. So no need to adjust the scope when going from back yard to the field, just the power setting.

Have played with some different slugs and have had great success with the higher levels on the stock settings. Look at flitstacks posts, he has been pushing slugs much further and has been great in sharing his settings
