Heat Shrink on my bottle!

I know scratches and dings weaken carbon fiber bicycle frames so bottles probably are the same.

I'd been looking for a sleeve or wrap for protection. I think a British airgun co actually sells precut heat shrink for this purpose.

I ordered 3 to 1 non adhesive 3" diameter tube. A 5' section was $50 so not cheap but enough to do five bottles.

I thought it turned out pretty nice!

So long as you always fill it yourself it is not a problem. Any Company that fills bottles needs to see the the date it was made and last hydro tested or they will not fill it.

Check with McMaster Carr -

"Clear" heat shrink tube is available. I just checked. And won't break the proverbial bank. Note the "after shrink" dimension !

BUT, as biohazardman says, the people may still want the tubing removed for testing, but at least everyone can easily see the appropriate dates and pressures.
