Heart-to-heart with Sandra

"Regal_US"What's a Euro Rail, and why did you order it?
One day I hope to order a RAW. Your order looks like a very sweet deal. Post lots of pics when you get it!
Yeah, Regal: I'm giddy with excitement waiting for her! She should ship next week :). I certainly will post pics (and a review).

I didn't know what a Euro Rail was either until Imold (another brother here on AGN) hipped me to it. It is a device that is installed in a machined channel in the underside of the fore-stock to allow accessories such as bi-pods or flashlights to be attached. I also ordered a Picatinny Rail conversion kit to slide into the Euro Rail. The nice thing about the Euro Rail is that it can be kept empty so that your fore-stock can remain flush if the purpose demands.

Here is a pic that Jospap (another brother) was kind enough to provide:

I'm told by Matt247365 that it's also called an Anschutz Rail. Here is a pic he provided:

"Regal_US"Thanks for explaining and posting links to pics. That's really nice that you can go back to a flush fore-stock; so much better than having a Picatinny rail permanently mounted like in my FX Boss.
I agree; I had permanent Picatinny rails on the fore-stocks of both my Daystate Pulsar and FX Impact, and they chewed up my shooting stick. And it was hard to get a good seat for a stable shot. The Euro Rail is a fine idea. I'm glad Imold hipped me to it before she shipped. That saved me ALOT of grief in shipping costs and wait time.

You do have to be very express and specific when you order because Sandra (the owner Martin's wife who handles the ordering process) will not prompt you for features. (That's why I spaced the Euro Rail!) I would highly recommend scanning RAW's website to see your options (https://www.rapidairweapons.com/xcart/home.php). Check "Merchandise" under "Products" on the left of the Home page, and "Other-Services" at the top. Hope this helps :)
