Question on this gun. Does the Parrus have the same Trigger group, safety, etc as the LGV?

No it's the economy version built more like traditional Springer in comparison to the LGV however you can just replace the trigger screws with longer ones for a much lighter pull. This one shall put hair on your chest too. 

Safety appear to be similar to actuate with your thumb.

Single screw not double. Odd!!! there WERE triggers with TWO SCREWS that I have seen...

Umarex had the plastic parrus 177 for I think after coupon $125 but this gun might be a challenge in 177 so I passed
