Technically you can if you measure the breech cutout mark it and hacksaw 2 places I would seriously do it! Really! You get a typically needed modified 2 piece droop compensating mount for really cheap here! Especially with the 15% off Code and I would buy at least 20-50 of them that's a lifetime supply of mounts for most normal airgunners. Maybe order 10-15 save some for the next guy. Makes shipping worthwhile rather than ordering just 1 or 2 when you REALLY think about it.

OR depends on your eye relief mount the scope inside the mount first then mount to Maximus AS IS then mark where you need to hacksaw.

Final Placement is real critical or you may damage the scope if the final 2 chopped pieces are not positioned correctly. This is where your SECOND untouched mount is used as your guide to measure maximum spacing via matching both outer furthest ends maximum length.

Sure fire way is to lap the rings when set at final position and mounted onto Maximus before putting the scope on permanently.

You need a lapping kit anyway IMHO for all your rings in the future to avoid scope tube damage anyway whatever rings you use.
