Head shot thread

The one on my hand I took was the 30 at 38 yd. The other 2 with the notos 1 at 10 yd, the other at 44.

What are you shooting out of the notos and fps? I tuned mine way down for backyard plinking. The 18.13 just over 400fps/ 6.6fpe and still shooting 1 hole groups (but I'm only shooting out to 20yds max).

Was shooting the 25.39 JSB @ 335fps / 6.3fpe but just not quite as tight, and some flyers. Think too slow to be stable.

Thanks. Shooting off a bipod with no rear support is a chore on something that small and far. I missed two last night because my scope was two clicks off. But with a quarter inch kill zone, two clicks is a big miss.
no doubt, doesn't take much to miss at 100+ yards on something so small. 1 out of 3 shots on a 1/4" target still not bad. To get 3 out of 3, hell that would be shooting 1/4 MOA @ 100 yards, sad to say I'm not there yet lol

Just to show I’m not perfect here’s the last one a couple minutes ago before I go to bed. Missed first shot but went for head on second shot. Not walking all the way over there in darkness to confirm. Possibly a neck shot at worst.

Yeah 131y in the dark, even with NV is not easy at all. To get 1/3 is wild. Excellent shooting! …….

* shuffles off to the corner, sniffling and mumbling about “I gotta step my game up”😂😂😂*

There is a vitals thread, how about a head shot one?

Share the particulars and a photo or video.

Took this one today.
Crosman 2240 XL with a 10” barrel
Hawke Vantage 4x AO
Crosman 14.3 dome @480 fps 7.32 fpe

18 yards
In and no exit.
This is usually used as a small lizard gun

Amazing what 7fpe can do when focused on such a small area, in this case a .22 I'm assuming. Awesome shot, just started shooting my Notos sub 7fpe and it's fun!
