These are nasty pest. Squirrels can inflict untold damage in your lawn and garden. My neighbor even feed them what makes matter worst. They started to reproduce in an alarming rate. Thats why i bought my airsoft gun to shoot them on my backyard.

My only comment is that I wish I had taken a picture of the "proud tree rat" I killed a couple of years ago.
They were larger (by a lot) than his head and outdid the one in the OP by quite a lot. (chuckle)
BTW, mine was an eastern gray squirrel (tree rat).

In my area it is the red squirrels that castrate the fox and grey squirrels so they can take over an area. The little reds are so fast they run up the tree and bite them right off before the slower fox can react. Witnessed it myself, kinda makes a guy cringe a bit once you realize what has happened !!!!
For sure it would take another squirrel with a big mouth to castrate that one!!!
