Is this a Cooper Hawk?my Nabor has pigeons and he hate's them>I want to make a pet out of him?I no he no's i have guns but he hangs around here.Had a guard coon for awhile. Could'ent get any porch delivers"

Cooper! Sharp-shinned hawks are similar but have squared off tails & slightly smaller.

Lots of Coopers Hawks here in the Northern Lower peninsula of Michigan. Unfortunately I see a lot of them killed on interstate 75 Whenever I see a bird of prey I always wish them good hunting and sometimes ask the Lord to bless them. He created everything and I have no problem asking Him for blessings be it man or beast

We have many Coopers hawks around but within the last 3 months a large female Peregrine falcon has moved in and is slowly preying/clearing out the Coopers hawks....she must be waiting till they are feeding. I have seen her eating 2 of them so far, crazy! First Peregrine I have ever seen here....
