Rowan Engineering makes quality side wheels. If you like the wheel and price contact Rowan Engineering before placing an order. For the Hawke scopes with IR Rowan makes a custom wheel. Wait time was about week longer for the IR cut out, they did not charge extra.

The cricket above has a 6"(150 MM) Rowan wheel. If I were to buy another wheel it would be the 5"(125 mm). Thickness is about twice as thick as the 4" Hawke side wheel.

An idea I came up with that works well is a PVC adapter. A two inch PVC flange has an inside dimension of about 2 and a shy 3/8" using the Hawke sidewheel it fits nicely inside. Using a 4"to 2" reducer the OD is about 4.5" A 6" adapter can be used also. I had a supply of old fittings, spray painted it black then used silicone to secure. I got the idea from someone that adapted a 6" toilet flange and machined a hub to fit their scope

I don't write on my side wheel and don't worry about how wide/narrow it is. Instead, I have a piece of metric tape measure secured around the 4 inch wheel with Goop (Shoe Goo or silicone caulk would work too). Because the metal tape is stiffer than paper tape it can be wider than the wheel without worry about it folding over. Measure yardages, focus, record tape readings, shoot, record POI's and I'm set.
