The newest style of lens cover provided by Hawke is a nice sturdy item but it is seriously deficient in the dust elimination department. I took a piece of the packaging foam and sliced some thin (1/16 ") sheets from it and glued them on to the inner surface of the covers and trimmed them to fit after drying. Now they seal out dust like the other ones I have with the mountains and the cowboy on the cover. The skull n crossbones on the objective end is to prevent metal to metal contact when the cover is open, it is a gel top sticker from Chromed Hog.com.
