Hawke- it pays to buy great products

A few more dollars for the “good stuff” has nearly always paid off for me. I have continued that line of thinking as I have invested in very good quality optics for my air rifles.

Recently, one of my Hawke 6-24x50 SF 30 Airmax scopes, which is now several years old and that had tens of thousands of rounds of experience, had the top screw and spacers come out of the rear flip up cover and wax no where to be found. A quick call to Ben at Hawke, and two days later I received a complete already assembly rear lense assembly that allowed me to restore the scope back to like new in less than five minutes.

This is the reason I continue to be loyal to Hawke as one of two preferred optics companies I do business with.

Thanks, Ben!

Had a Hawke 6x24x50 on my Boss for almost 2 years, was on my Royale 500 for the year before that. Absolutely love that scope. Does what I need it to do holds zero between hunting outings beautifully. I'm not a tinkerer or a bells & whistles guy. I just want go-to guns & equipment & I'm never let down. Good to know that should the situation arise, customer service will back me up! Thanks for the post.

I used to be a real HAWKE fanboy and have roughly about 50-60 of them in different models and power. They have been really great except for the annoying illumination inconsistencies and fuzziness at higher magnification as do many (most) sub $1200 Chinese scopes. In fact I bought a FFP 6-24x Sidewinder 30 just 2 months ago and thought it was fantastic until I did a side by side with another no name brand that cost less than half price that also has a lifetime warranty that kicked its azz in clarity and illumination in a more compact and lighter weight package.

Heres the last HAWKE I bought 2 months ago. I would still be a HAWKE and BUSHNELL fanboy if I hadn't been overly critical in clarity and found a lighter more compact alternative also with a lifetime warranty that focus down to 10 yards with superior illumination at a ridiculously cheaper price especially when compared to the Bushnell Forge.

If this Hawke and my Alpha6 were equal in clarity it wouldn't be the less than half price difference that would have made me switch over. It is the difference in size and weight.

I have some Hawke scopes, the more you pay the better they get,I am fine with a Airmax.

My friend, the more you pay the better it gets is the only reality these days. I miss the 90s when you could find something better for less. Feels like that is never true now, especially since product are marketed as good better best stratums.

Go buy a US Optics TS12 and a Vector Veyron and do a side by side. That my friend will wake you up to TODAY'S REALITY in the more you pay. SAME with all other Chinese scopes. Well not all just 90-95%.

My preference is the Sidewinder then the Airmax. The ED costs more, but Im not crazy about it, only because the reticle is a bit too fine for me.

Haven't actually shot with the ED either but I did look through one at the Malvern Arkansas show this past year. Seemed nice and clear but as you note the reticle is a bit fine and easy to lose in the background. I have 1 Airmax and several Sidewinders. Probably won't get any more of the Airmax scopes but I will use other Sidewinders.

i got a hawke varmint 6-24x44 SF 6 or 7 years ago and about a year ago the eye end became loose and wobbly du to use on a diana 34 . sent it to hawke several months ago and they sent me a brand spanking new vantage 6-24x44 in less than 2 weeks after i sent them the varmint . the vantage now lives on my .25 gauntlet and i couldn't be happier with the vantage or hawkes customer service .
