I'm looking at the Hawke Sidewinder and Sidewinder Tactical. Anyone have both that can compare the two. I want the mil reticle and not the srpro. Any advice?

I've have two tacticals in the 20X 1/2mil and the larger 56mm Sidewinder 20X 1/2 mil. I like the compact size of the tactical over the larger scope. Both are fairly heavy but most of my shooting is off a rest so the weight isn't that big of an issue to me. I really like the 20X mil over the 10X because the dots and 1/2 dots are really spread out. I think this allows for more precise aiming especially if you want to split the difference of the mil and 1/2 mil. I had a MTC Viper for a while but the reticle was heavier than the Hawkes and the 10X 1/2 mil made it too congested for my preference.

I have the hawke tactical and like jking mentioned the 20x 1/2 mil dot reticle allows for more precise placement and very good ranging.

I have the normal sidewinder in 4-16x50 and looking back on it now i wish i would have gone with the 20x 1/2 mil dot reticle instead of the 10x but it is an excellent scope for the money and it really depends on if you need a more compact package or not.

I will go with the 20 or 24. What i was wondering is there any difference in the optics between the sidewinder and the sidewinder tactical. I would think they would be the same, but asking is free. Thanks
