For those of you who have used the AMX reticle, what are the advantages and disadvantages over a plain mil-dot reticle?
All Hawke scopes are springer rated even the Vantage but those are only for up to 12fpe, there are numerous other springer rated scopes out there.I find the reticle too thin for paper targets with black background like splatterburst targets. Illumination do help though. Is it for a springer or pcp? If it's for a pcp, there are better choices out there. If for springer then you AMX might be the only option as it's springer rated.
It's for a PCP - Daystate Huntsman Revere.I find the reticle too thin for paper targets with black background like splatterburst targets. Illumination do help though. Is it for a springer or pcp? Looks like you plan to use the huntsman reverse for hunting? If so, the AMX reticle will be too thin and it's going to get lost in the bushes or trees. It's for a PCP - Daystate Huntsman Revere.
Thanks for that info. It will indeed be mostly used for backyard pesting and plinking, so a good, bold reticle is indeed important.Looks like you plan to use the huntsman reverse for hunting? If so, the AMX reticle will be too thin and it's going to get lost in the bushes or trees.
