Hawke AMX reticle question

I’m thinking about putting a Hawke 3-12X AO Compact on a new HW50 which will be used primarily as a hunting rifle with some serious target/plinking thrown in. My question is about Hawkes AMX reticle. The wires appear to be pretty thin. Do they fade out in hunting scenarios, against dark trees, brush etc. or against a light bright background such as a squirrel on a limb. I realize the IR can be used in dark environments but I don’t know about bright backgrounds. Also any opinions on that scope or others for hunting would be appreciated.

@Txmiller The IR is red and can be used to contrast against light or dark backgrounds. If you haven’t already, read some reviews on a few Hawke scopes. There is no wire, Hawke scopes have etched glass reticles .

Lowlight conditions can always cause an issue but if the scope has IR there is nothing to worry about. If it’s really low light that you commonly shoot in, slapping on a cheap predator light will light them right up no IR needed. Just my personal experience
