Is the magnification ring on the Hawke Airmax series rubberized?

Yes, sir. Both my 3-9 and 4-12x40's all have rubberized mag rings.

Man I hate that. Usually rubberized parts gets sticky overtime. I don't know if this will eventually happen to the mag rings.

My 3-9's are 5 years old and bought from Trenier when the first ones were released in the US. Got them to mount one on my HW95 which was on there until a few weeks ago when I swapped it out for the 4-12 now on it. No sticky problems over that 5 years and it's now mounted on my Beeman R7.

Your mileage may well vary but no problems with mine to date anyway. Hope this helps.
