Hawke Airmax 2-7X32 owners....

Why am I not surprised.?
Lots of problems with stiffness of the AO but not a single account of having talked with Hawke about it
May fault for not opening and testing them faster (might not have to pay return shipping) but have my 3rd (three of them so far) AIRMAX 4-12x40 AO which does not work. 1st could NOT turn the A/o, second was OVERLY tight but could be turned however the focus was from around 70 to 300 yards. 3rd was just normal Hawke stiff (like the original SR6 for FT) and the glass was really good how ever after less than 100 shots in a few short sessions sighting it in trying to adjust from 4x up the IT would NOT turn.
Yes Hawke is great about warranty replacement but on this scope sending it back in is now getting very close to the original cost of the scope. I do intend to call this time to ask if they might actually pull a scope from the box 1st and se if to works. And I will post back about it.
Esp. on these bottom of the line scopes (which do seem to have nice glass) at some point it is not worth sending in for warranty replacement.

I did like both the original SR6 and SR12 scopes and should have kept the SR12.
