I need more magnification on my HW95 Field Pro than the Weihrauch 3-9x40 AO that came with the rifle. Why are the Airmax scope models more expensive if the only difference I can see is a different reticle design? I really hope the scope is able to perform while taking the pounding of a high end springer.
Hawke 4-12x40 AO and an HW95 a good set-up?

I would say but not from experience that if Weihrauch makes the scope and gun they should work well together. UTG Bugbuster has a 3-12 I've used on a couple springers that never had a problem and plenty of magnification for the distances of a springer. Amazon $138. bucks

I would go up in magnification, as the top magnification on some scopes is not that clear and harder to find the full image. I have a 6x24 on my FWB 124D. The clarity of the image and ease of finding the full image starts to diminish after 18X.

The Weihrauch optics are OK. A Hawke 4-12x44 AO would be a big upgrade in clarity.
I went with the Optisan 3-12x32 CP on my HW95. Lifetime warranty. Great optic, very clear and bright. The reticle is a bit finer than a Hawke. I used BKL rings.
