I have my heart set on putting a light, high quality, compact scope on my R9. I can’t stand big heavy scope and big objectives, or a top heavy springer in the woods. I also like to keep my scopes as low to the bore as possible because I like to shoot up into the trees at squirrels.
I assumed this Hawke would balance out my rifle nicely and fit in the Hawke low rings on my gun. When I saw it for only $150 I jumped on it. Now I am reading it is no good for springers.
Do I need to get another scope? I could put this one on my RWS34 (sub 12 fpe) and get another down the road. But I also plan to return that gun to factory configuration.
Recommend another good scope? I am trying my to keep the weight of my optics under a pound and the size of my objective around 32mm or smaller.
Thanks for looking
