I don’t know where they are coming from. But I do know where they are going! Been helping a friend set up his 30’ swimming pool Friday and Saturday. Got home Saturday afternoon and seen 3 heads poking up in the grass along side of my barn. Haven’t had a chuck in the barn for a couple years. I did shoot a 1/2 dozen coon out of it over the last month or so. But no chucks. The barn is about 65 yards from our deck. So I set up a rest and started picking them off. My .25 Mrod is dead on at 50. So I give it an extra 1 1/2”. Got 4 Saturday night and 4 more today. What a blast hearing the pellet hit with not much other noise from the rifle. So far It’s 2 females and 6 about 1/3 grown pups. Tonight I seen another big one and 1 little one. I know where I will be at daylight. Right back on the deck! The cool part is I have been shooting red squirrels with the PP700 while waiting for the chucks. So far I got 7 of the little buggers. Seen 4 more tonight just before dark. They have come up to the yard to eat the Maple tree helecopter seeds. Can’t Waite till morning!
