Have been trying to choose between two FX rifles, now a practical third choice

I have reached out to Pyramydair to see if they will sell me a Crown VP with the Superior liner.

I have no clue on What the response will be.

I am shooting a mold I had Arsenal custom make for me, it is a 58 grain swc dropping at .252 cast of 40-1. The intent was for a heavier slug in the .25 Seneca 2500 carbine, in which I am getting 85 FPE in that little unmodded carbine.

Would the Crown have the lungs to deal with it sized down to .250, if that is what the groove diameter turns out to be.

That is hefty. I would not expect the crown to shoot those fast at all. Not without adding some plenum volume (easier said than done) , and opening the valve up (valve seat is 5.5mm) factory hammer without adding weight stops being effective at opening the valve much past 135 bar. I use a 7gm weight for 150bar. Which gets me 870fps in a 700mm 22 cal barrel with 36gr slugs.
