Hatsan Vortex Strike are the worst Pellets I have ever USED

I have bought 4 tins of Hatsan Vortex Strike 30cal pellets, my friend also bought me a 5th tin from a different supplier.

EVERY TIN the pellets are severely damaged and bent skirts. But that's not the worst part. The pellets don't even fit Hatsans own gun. I have a 30cal carnivore and even the pellets that are decent and don't have messed up skirts don't even fit into the gun. They are grossly oversized. After having to use a wood dowel to push the pellet into the chamber it shears off a bunch of lead, this lead is spread around the face of the breech, then it destroys your breech seal. I destroyed my breech seal after the 2nd pellet I loaded into the gun because I didn't notice the lead shaving on the first one.

I made a cast of my chamber so I could verify chamber size, and it wasn't the guns fault. And after many conversations with Hatsan I was finally able to get them to tell me what chamber size my rifle was suppose to have and my rifle is in spec, so it is the pellets that are bad, and like I said even the good ones are oversized. So 5 tins, 4 bought from amazon and 1 bought from a store across the country from me all had damaged and oversized pellets in them. Not to mention all the extra lead flashing and bits of lead pieces stuck to the inside of all the pellet skirts. On average it seems these Pellets are 5 thousandths oversized....some I have measured as large as 8 thou..... and these are the "GOOD PELLETS" without the bent skirts which on average about 60%-75% of every tin is dented and bent and flashing on the skirts.

Hatsan told me they don't make the pellets, that a company in Germany does.... come to find out it seems they may be designed in Germany but they seem to be actually made in South America.

I tried to post pics but cant figure out how to on this forum yet, or if I need to reach a certain level in order to?

The worst part of the whole experience is Hatsan doesn't seem to be eager to help at all. There attitude was basically yeah the pellet's are junk, buy JSB's next time....

But they did seem to be eager to sell me a new seal with me paying shipping on top of it for a brand new seal, for a new gun with less then 5 shots through it, that their own brand of pellets ruined.

I call that world class Customer Service....

I will never be buying these awful vortex pellets again. And might even be more likely to not buy a Hatsan product vs someone else's because of the CS I received.

I am Curious was this just some large bad batch of pellets or are these known to always be junk?
