Hatsan Spark

So I have a Hatsan Spark and I have only used it a few times. So far the whip that came with it won't work. I have replaced "O" rings and used Teflon tape on all the fittings. Still have to use the whip off my 50 dollar hand pump.

So today the temp gauge don't work. The instructions I got are not for the Spark but another compressor but it says if the temp gauge don't work the batteries are dead, put in new batteries. Cool,I know about batteries but what I don't know is how to get to the old batteries.

Can anyone tell me how to change batteries on a Hatsan Spark

Also are the whips listed on Ebay worth buying?

Pull the metal cover off and you can get right to the batteries. It you try to just pry the temperature gauge up you will most likely break it. Ask me how I know. Lol.

Only one problem. My Spark has a seal that says if I break it my warrenty is not any good. Seems strange to me. 

They tell you to change the battery that s inside the case but you can't bust the seal without voiding the warrenty. Oh woe is me!

Speaking of WARRANTY I would request a replacement hose assembly and temperature gauge from Hatsan under WARRANTY. Why pay for things that aren't your fault while still under WARRANTY? Unless it's OK for you to throw away money.
