The non cycling is going to be due to 2 things, either your hammer adjustment is way too low or the front gas system is leaded up and needs a solid cleaning and regrease. My .22 sortie has developed a new issue where the hammer screw is stripping out of the block even with the set screw tight and both items loctited in place. The beating of the hammer against that screw has stripped the block to the point you cant fire it our of the stock or the parts will fly out. I had an old RC bearing that fit perfectly behind the adjustment screw then a strip of metal to protect the plastic stock from the beating of the screw. I contacted Hatsan about a new block but I am waiting to hear back from them.

@seabee1972, this is an absolutely fantastic silencer adapter, any chance your friend would want to make a few more and sell it? I would be happy to get my hands on one of these and I'm sure lots of Sortie owners would not hesitate to buy it as well. I was looking for a silencer adapter and this is the only one I have found so far. Unfortunately I do not have access to a machining shop to make a custom one plus there is a question of the design of this adapter, which you already done so beautifully :).

Gentlemen! Although I live in Hungary, there are no HATSAN SORTIE topics here, so I would like and ask you to help me! I got my weapon used and a lot of things had to be fixed - hammer kick adjustability, locking screw, trigger system (no hammer stuck, fired a series but no bullet loaded), etc., etc., but now it shines properly, pulls up, but the breaker doesn't goes completely backwards even though the hammer gets stuck and so it doesn't load, the magazine gets stuck! So, what should I say - maybe the pull-up piston? thank you if anyone answers- greetings from Hungary - Uncle Pete
