Hatsan QE backyard friendly?

So i am still very new to airguns. I now have a hatsan flashpup and a hatsan airmax. One of the main appeals that led me to pcp airguns was that with the right moderator they could be backyard friendly. So i bought those 2 assuming. The flashpup sounds as loud as a framing nailer and the airmax a smidge louder. I dont consider a framing nailer backyard friendly. A brad nailer maybe. Are there adjustments i can make to quiet them down but still be accurate out to 50ish yards? Or am i going to have to add a better moderator?

Though Hatsan's QE shroud quiets the bark a bit I never found any of mine to be back yard friendly. I put a Donny Ronin on my .25 BT65 & that worked. However it only worked when it was mounted on the shroud end, NOT directly on the barrel end. Made it LOOONG but quiet & even more accurate. Btw, I put a .30 Ronin on my .25 as suggested by Donny.

I have a .22 Gladius that is so quiet, I thought it failed to fire when I first shot it. Heard very little beyond a hammer strike. Variation from gun to gun can be a lot.

Hatsan is known for "maxing" out power. Simply detuning it a bit (adjusting hammer spring) should give you more shots, a more like curve, and quiet it down. FWIW I detune most of my backyard airguns to about 830 - 850 FPS

Thanks for tips and suggestions. I did forget to mention both are 25 caliber. Not sure if that would noticeably louder then the 22. I will try to dial back the speed a little before dumping more money into them for moderators. I was pretty bummed when i couldnt let my boys shoot it in the backyard because it was as loud as a 22 rifle. Does anyone else successfully target practice in town with either of these 2 guns?

; I still shoot my .177's and detuned. 22's into a mulch filled bucket without problems and have those used pellets for casting bullets periodically. 

It sure is convenient to stay home and practice, I hope you find a way to in your yard.

I’m new to this as well and I’m surprised air rifles are not more popular in gun shops. Great for home use, training, or just fun cheep shooting with ammo available.

I routinely shoot my Flash in the backyard, never attracts any attention, it's the quietest of the 3 rifles I own

.25 "in town" keep in mind it can be lethal well past 600 yards. A 12fpe (ish) .177 airgun excellent for for youngins and darn near silent.
