Hatsan Mod 95 Scope Mount

I just received my Hatsan Mod 95 Vortex Brake Barrell today but I confused about the scope mount, it says on the Hatsan website 11mm Dovetail but my 2 different UTG Dovetail mount didn't fit correctly, little gap on closing side not flush fit. Looks like dovetail but buttom is not flat because tracks on the barrel and it is curved shape, looks like curved barrel dovetail, even Hatsan comes with combo Scope and their scope attachment has the same problem, doesn't fit flush. I already attached the pictures, what kind of scope mount should I use? Thanks for the help.

yeah i wouldnt use those .. utg makes a one-piece mount with 5 screws in the side .. alittle more comcave on the bottom .. its specifically made to lock hardcore springer scopes in place ... im sure you could find it on amazonia without much difficulty ..

* might not be utg its been awhile, i looked it up, might be 'instapark' or similar .. the 5 screw design is the one i liked the most though after trying several ...

Not great picture but a Hatsan. I've owned or still do 23 of them in various models. I use Hawke 2 piece scope mounts on mine and you can see the curved gap like yours in my pic. I've never had a problem with any of them and my scopes and rings have never moved on my rifles so while I can understand the concern, no real need for it.

For what it's worth, The InstaPark one piece mounts are good ones and I know a few people who use them. I just have a preference for the Hawke rings because they've never failed me.

Keep us posted.

Hi SteveP-52, the picture looks okey and fit with little gap, I used two different UTG brand and the gap it was big, maybe Hawke it will be better, I know these instapark is less quality than the Hawke, I will order Hawke, as you mention you use a lot of Hatsan products can I ask you couple questions? I just start this hobby just let you know you have more experience than me, I want to use Hawke Vantage 3-9X40 Scope with Hatsan Mod 95 what is your suggestion about the size of the mount medium or large? also do I really need to scope alignment tool? Thanks

I understand your concern. But I think this is a non issue.

I also agree with what SteveP-52 said try flipping that side clamp around. Here below is an RWS one piece mount. You can see that it is flat not rounded. And it works fine with round receivers.
I had a Hatsan at one time. I used a couple different sets of economy grade rings and had no issues.

Good luck and enjoy your new gun

First, more than a few of mine have Vantage scopes but every one of them have Illuminated reticles (aka IR), so the crosshairs are etched in the glass and not wire reticles like you'll find in the standard Vantage scopes. The Vantage line, straight from the Customer Service reps at Hawke, is not rated for springers over 12 fpe. All of mine are are at least 14fpe or higher and I've always figured mine have held up as long as they have because of those etched reticles. Your mileage may very well vary and I make no guarantees an IR equipped scope will hold up on yours but Hawke has a very good warranty so if anything does happen, just contact them.

Second, my rings are High 1 inch Hawke Match Mount rings with a 1 inch offset. At least for me, I don't like feeling hunched over a rifle when I try to shoot and I couldn't get the scope back far enough to be comfortable so I bought a set to try, liked how they worked for me and ended up putting them on every rifle I bought. Will something like that work for you? I honestly can't say as it's something that's particular to each individual shooter. As far as height goes, Medium rings should work fine with a 3-9x40 scope. An alignment tool is up to you. I don't personally use one but many will recommend them and probably not one bit a bad idea.

The rifle in the picture is my Hatsan Model 95 QE .22 with those rings and a Vantage 3-9x40 AO IR scope. At the end of the day, you'll have to get your scope mounted in your mount of choice and start shooting to see what's going to work best for you and your shooting and only you can decide that. A Model 95 .25 was my first getting back into shooting air guns and it took me awhile and several types of 1 piece mounts and ring sets before I finally found what worked best for me.

Hopefully the above helps at least a little

Hey there! I totally understand the struggle of finding the right sporting optics mount for your air rifle. I recently picked up a Hatsan Mod 95 and was on the hunt for the perfect mount. After doing some research, I came across the Vortex sporting optics mount and decided to give it a shot. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did!

This mount is seriously durable and holds your scope tight, so you can focus on hitting your target. Plus, Vortex is a well-respected brand in the optics world and their products always deliver. I've used this mount a few times now and have had zero issues with it. It's super easy to use and has made a huge difference in my shooting accuracy.

I also love that it's compatible with a variety of scopes, so you can pick the one that's right for you. Trust me, I've tried a lot of different mounts and this one is by far the best. If you're on the hunt for a scope mount for your Hatsan Mod 95, you really can't go wrong with the Vortex sporting optics mount. Give it a try and see for yourself!

You may have to take all the screws out and flip that plate over to make it fit right since they don't always put that plate on there with the side you may need facing down. Try that, see what happens and let us know.
