I have a fairly new Hatsan .22 cal. springer, I bought it at the end of last season and haven't shot it much, now that we're getting into Spring I intend to shoot it on a regular basis, I do remember that when I did shoot it the cocking force was pretty heavy, and the cocking action felt very gritty, I've read that some Hatsan air rifles come through from the factory pretty dry, and that lubing the main spring usually helps to smooth out the action and the firing cycle, in many articles Lube In A Tube was mentioned.
It was also mentioned that the spring could be accessed through the cocking slot in the stock, leading me to think that the gun didn't have to be disassembled to lube the spring, I have other air guns that I have worked on, but it appears that the Hatsan mod.95 is a bit more involved as to disassembly and reassembly, so, I'm not looking forward to attempting it and I would appreciate any advice from experienced mod. 95 owners.
Thanks, HM
