Hatsan Mod 135 QE Vortex .22 And .25 Cal Choice

Hello there,
I'm thinking of getting the Hatsan Mod 135 QE Vortex. The maximum muzzle velocity at my rifle site is as follows;
.177cal = 1250fps
.22cal = 1000fps
.25cal = 750fps
I want to kill squirrels and similar animals easily, and I want pellets to be easy to find, and not too expensive. If I use .22 caliber with heavy pellets for this, can it reach the power of .25 caliber?

First off, most air gun maximum fps specs are based on the lightest pellet weights sometimes the lead free variety. Accuracy and shot placement is far more important than fps or even fpe. Even a low power .177 will kill squirrels cleanly with a proper head shot.

I Have a model 95 in .177 and I take down rabbits , squirrels and pigeons at 50 yards with no problems, accuracy is the issue !
