Hatsan Made in Czech pellets .30 cal, 44.75

I have recently picked up a few tins of these wt a local gun store, and I thought to myself: huh- made in Czech? And 44.75 domed? These must be the same as my JSB exact .30 in 44.75. It even comes with the same tin and makeup pads.

However, shooting in my edgun matador R5 .30, I noticed the POI was quite a bit off- I find that very interesting, as its the same weight and shape- it must be a different density or alloy of lead. Not crazy, but about 1/2-3/4 inch off to the left and high of my standard group. These also grouped well, just not in the same spot. (Testing done indoor, 25 yard range).

Wondering if anybody else has had a go at these pellets?

I dont shoot slugs but i see this in pellets . Different shapes , weight, lead type poi can drift . If the grouping is not affected i just assume its that pellets nature in that gun used .. if im going to shoot them a tin or more i just click it over what needed and keep shooting.
These are the basic “light” domed diablo .30 pellets. 30 has few pellet selections, light is 44.75 and heavy is 50.15

I had thix between .177 domed and hollow point. The crosman hp are short skirted and 7.3 . The 2 norma are more long skirts and one was 8.4 and the other was 9.1 ..

Never thought to take a picture of that paper with the 3 pellet groups showing the poi difference nit of the 3 one eas off a tad high right then the others .

I eas shooting crosman hp USA pellets near exclusively then that got blowed out of the water selling to gamo . Im having to re-group so to say now ..lol.

Just decide on what one you like best and easy to get / convenient and stick with it . Swapping things around just leads to more swapping things around . Go consistency.

Shot these a lot when I had my R5 Standard. They shot to the same POI in as the JSBs of the same weight. It was a no-brainer to use them instead of the JSB product.

The difference in POI could be a result of the barrel tension? It’s adjustable and if I remember correctly, Ed made a point in one of his videos that there was a sweet spot for it.

If you are looking for a JSB alternative, try the apolo pellets:

I have the entire product line, but have only tried the .30 apolos in a hatsan Bully. they performed better than the jsb equivalent.

The ones pictured are the OLD & RARE Hatsan Vortex pellets (no longer made). As good as JSB's at the time. The newer Vortex Strike SUCK! Don't even bother. Stick with a Diabolo (not Diablo) 44.75. Diabolo is your standard pellet shape.
That makes sense! I was going to say i tried a tin of vortex pellets and they were garbage. The tin was full of lead shavings.
