Hatsan Flash .22 and amo selection

I was wondering what recommendations you might be able to give for selecting ammo for this rifle. I will be mainly shooting at birds, squirrels, rabbits and so forth.



Any info would be greatly appreciated. If it makes a difference i will also be running a donnyfl Sumo in .25 cal.

Mine loves the CPHP from Walmart and the Hades. It did not do well with the few slugs I tried. The Hatsan branded pellets did ok, but not as well as CPHP or Hades.

My FlashPup liked 6 type and brands. Crossman Pointed 14gr,, AirArms 16 & 18 with the 18 being better,,H&N Coppa-Spitzkugal 16gr,,H&N Barracuda Match 21gr,,JSB ExJum RS 13.4 gr. the JSBRS 13.4gr and the AirArms 18gr were the best in mine. 1/4 and 3/8ths 5 shot groups at 25 yds. They all will take out any of the animals your looking at.

With a little tuning (open porting and valve, adjust hammer spring) Mine does best with JSB Ultra Shocks, 25.39gr at 940 FPS. For a lighter hunting pellet I like the Polymags or Metalmags. The Ultra Shocks frequently shoot through smaller varmints hard enough to ricochet.

My Flash .22 likes the JSB 18g and 25g pellets. I've had pretty good luck with the H&N slugs. I ordered the sampler pack in .218 cal, and it liked the 25g slugs the best. This is over short distances, about 15 yards. I haven't had a chance to get out and shoot over longer distances yet. I just received a pack of FX slugs the other day, but haven't had a chance to shoot them yet.

Mine shoots a fair amount pretty good but it’s favorite pellets in order of accuracy are h &n ftt, jsb18, hunter extremes. Slugs do quite well with the nsa 23 gr slugs.

Mine likes the H&N sniper magnums 18gr and some slugs.

I am leaning more toward jsb and h&n.

I found a sample pack of jsb but every sample pack i find for H&N is over 2 weeks delayed.
