Hatsan Edge - Spring issue - how to replace?

I have been searching for answers for this issue and not having any luck. In June 2018, I bought a Hatsan Edge .22 from Pyramyd for the purpose of squirrel control (live on an acreage). Shortly after receiving it., I shot about 2 dozen rounds through it and put it away in my safe...didnt mount the scope as I had intentions of breaking it in first. Now fast forward to March 2020 and finally took it out to get with it and fizzle. Cock it and pull the trigger, the barrel shakes a little bit and nothing else. Tried it over and over 20+ times and same result. Totally disgusted now with myself as I think I must have left it cocked when I put it away those many months ago. So here I sit with a virtually new springer rifle that wont shoot. Tried looking for manuals/diagrams and replacement parts and coming up with zilch. Today is Saturday so, Pyramyd is closed and Hatsan website is not helpful.

Anyone here have experience with replacing springs in a Hatsan Edge or can point me in the right direction?

Yes, I am new to this site, having just signed up....never knew about its existence until searching for answers to this issue. I just retired and now have time to actually "do things". Been lifelong hunter/shooter so not a total noob. Still have my old Benjamin .22 pump that my father bought for me about 55+ years ago...and it still works, unlike this Hatsan.

I never heard of a spring breaking from being left cocked, but they can break from dry firing. In any case, you should be able to inspect the spring by removing the action from the stock and taking a look through the cocking slot. You may not be able to find videos showing disassembly of your exact model, but the process should be similar for related Hatsan models.

Thanks for responding guys. I had a nice phone conversation with Rich from Ohio and he gave me a whole lot of information in checking out/what to look for. I haven't started on the teardown yet as I wanted to talk with the folks at Pyramyd first. Rethinking my steps, when I pulled this airgun out of my safe, I'm confident that it was not left in a cocked state. Also,I never dry fire any firearms (use snap caps where applicable). I put a Premier pellet in it (still in there) when I went to line up on a target and no joy even after 20+ tries.

Well, here's the follow up....talked with Pyramyd and they offered no resolution and said to contact Hatsan directly. The gentleman I spoke with was sympathetic at least. After several days trying to get someone to answer the phone at Hatsan and leaving multiple messages for someone to call me back....I gave up. In pondering what to do next, I did look at the $49 option and went that route in which I will now have a spare parts gun as needed should the new $49'er break. Haven't gotten a tracking number yet, so no telling when or where its at.

Right now, I'm not a fan of Hatsan and their lack for follow up customer service....they could at least have answered me/called back. Yeah, I know covid-19 and all that, but still?

Some day I will tear down the broken one and see what the real issue is...I suspect its something minor/fixable.
