Hatsan Bullboss - Trigger adjustment, Hammer spring adjustment

Hi all. I received my Bullboss .22 last week. Amazing for the price. Adjusted the trigger, upgraded the stock QE Moderator, added the Sitemark Wraith, and a Pulsar 940ir. Had to shim the back rail since in shooting under 50yds, but amazingly accurate at 25-35yds till about 125bar, then starts dropping a little. Was messing around with the hammer adjustment a little, thought was I was improving the FPS, then found a Chronograph on sale few days ago. Have to say, the results have been interesting,

Using Vortex .22 14.66gr, unregulated was hitting 1120's first few shots, then started going down to eventually mid 800's at 100bar. Then I found the Hansan H class regulator on sale, installed it easily, (was fun using a hand pump to seat the valve, used the degassing cap to help hold air in), seems it set around 130bar. Re sighted scope, no air leaks.

So yesterday, shot regulated, same pellets, first few shots around 1000, then after 3 or 4, stayed around 940-920 for 42 shots, then started gradually falling off to mid 800's just above 125ish bar, on shot 50, so was obviously off the regulator. So I increased hammer tension (CCW) 1 turn, repeated test, FPS went down slightly, as did shot count, did it again, same result. So went the other way a few times, (CW), FPS went back up, as did shot count.

So now, adjusted the hammer CW till it stopped, and will tune 1/2 turn CCW and see what happens. Goes to show that a chronograph is needed. Cant wait to find her sweet spot.

I have a hard moving hammer I can't move it. and when I move it by using force it moves hardly and start leaking air while screws the hammer.

Is there any help. thanks

You need to remove the hammer and figure out why the screw is so hard to turn, remember the screw is inside of the hammer. So you'll need to hold the hammer to stop it from turning and backing it out increases the spring pressure on that gun. It shouldn't leak air when adjusting the hammer. You might be pushing the hammer into the valve end causing air to leak. But even with pushing against the valve I cant imagine your pushing over 1800 psi. Something's wrong, Mont
