Hatsan BullBoss QE

Well my .25 BullBoss QE showed up to,came in brown box with Hatsan box inside I removed the BullBoss checked it all out and it's a nice Airgun, then I went and opened the box with the extra parts and mags, checked each mag out then the degasser and took the Allen wrench out and there was a tube with a baggy of grease................Now the interesting part....How do you fill a Hatsan rifle that didn't come with a PROBE !!!!! YEP You don't, There was no PROBE in the box so now I can't even try it out and there were no extra o-rings so I called Hatsan..

The person I talk to was very nice and apologized and said they would get the missing parts out right away but in the meantime my plans of shooting the BullBoss have been crushed for the next couple days so I will not be doing any mini review of this rifle by Friday..and all I can do is look at it, at least I can fill the mags...
Again the person I talked to was very professional and said they would get the missing items out ASP so now having dealt with their CS dept I believe Hatsan will get some more business from me if the BullBoss proves it's worth.

"tutuan"For now you can check if the air cylinder is touching the barrel. That's the issue I had with mine. And congrats on the new rifle.
That's what I did and it's clear all the way down, I need to get used to that very little wiggle in the air tube being Im used to the Marauders but I do like the fact that I can buy a extra air tube if I want and can change them out weather they still have air in them or not, will be nice to have a extra tube filled at 200b and when it hits 125-150 just unscrew and put a full tube on.......I did buy a RegMan regulator and a couple micro hoses so I can tether my 74cf tank to my airguns for longer bench time.

I wonder what would happen if a person took and put a fat o-ring on the airtube and then screwed it on? Would it throw the barrel off? or just take that little bit of wiggle out?
Just a big enough o-ring to fill the gap but not put a lot of pressure on the barrel.
Thanks on the congrats by the way.

Imold (now THERE'S a name!)--Congrats on your Bullboss! I did see you post on GTA about it but didn't post anything there, didn't know if you'd remember me. Man, I'm SORRY Hatsan screwed up and didn't include the probe! That was the one thing you asked me about! Glad you got hold of them and they're sending you one, that'd make me nuts. If by some amazing coincidence you live in Mid-Michigan I could help you out with that but not much chance of that. Good that you checked the clearance between the air tube & the barrel. I had messed around with turning the shroud and without knowing had caused them to be touching, Really messed up the accuracy until I figured out why. There's a "flat" on the shroud that's in the right place to allow proper clearance. On mine it's in the right spot when the letters "QE" are at the top.
Hope you get to really enjoy it SOON! Let me know if you're nearby, I just happen to have a probe for you if so.

Ed
Btw, I'm looking forward to you sending me the $170 I saved ya! I'll be waiting by my mailbox, lol.

"Highrise"Oldcorps,
after reading your post regarding the sling I realized how awkward the sling "swivels" on board actually are. I always struggled with the rear one in particular when shooting from a bench, and cumbersome at best is how I would describe it.
ran down to the gun room and turned them out and replaced them with the proper studs. attached a nice leather sling UPDSIDEDOWN, World of difference with the new orientation,,,,
Well Done.
Greg

Glad it worked out well for you. It feels like it was made to be carried that way.
Happy shooting!

Ed
