Hatsan BullBoss QE

I have a few(4) Marauders and was looking at adding a FX Impact .25 just to have a higher end Airgun in my collection plus I like the specs and reviews on the Impact so after days and days of looking at different PCPs the Hatsan BullBoss QE keeps coming up and it's not that much but the specs are pretty good and reviews seem to be ok so my question is does anyone own one here or have any on hand time with this PCP.
Any input would be nice.

I have one with a regulator and I get 20 shots at 30 fpe.
i like mine very well as it's a solid shooter.
Loading mags and installing them into the rifle is easy and as of right now no real issues to complain about.
I think for a 600$ bullpup maybe less if you catch it on sale is a really good buy.
I'm shooting jsb 18.1 at 930 fps if I remember correctly.
I'm looking at dialing her down to about 830 fps with crossman domed 14.3 and try to get 30 maybe 40 shots on a fill this weekend.:)

Imold,
I have been involved in the shooting sports for 35 years,,,,,shot competition skeet and trap, have many PB and always a springer hanging around. about 6 months ago I learned of this thing called a PCP airgun and started lurking around on this site and you tube every spare minute I had. I was smittin to say the least at what I read about and saw others doing with these guns.
After extensive research I decided that the Bull Boss was the one for me. Ordered the QE Long in .25 along with a Leapers UTG 4X16 SWAT and added the big side-wheel, a carbon fiber tank, and this attachment to fix a harris bipod to the lower rail.
All I can say is I haven't touched a firearm since.
I am getting 22 shots at 920 FPS with JSB 25 grain. I have a range set up right outside my gun room French doors with target frames at 25 and 50 yds,,,,,,,one hole all day long at 50 is the norm. I shoot,,,,pest with this gun everyday and the results of a solid hit are impressive to say the least.
I was going to get the 22 but back up to a large farm and often see yotes so felt the larger caliber would suit better and it has.
long shots at pests are not uncommon and 100 yard work is no prob for the 25.
I am currently looking at what my next PCP will be and am going to move up to the .30,,,,,
thinking crown if I could get an honest delivery date, but most likely the Boss.
have to say though the Ataman has peeked my interest.
if you get it you wont be dissapointed

One of my shooting buddies have a Bullboss. His gun is not stock because he's an excessive tinkerer so he has done mods to the gun. At the place where we shoot we routinely shoot pebbles about an inch in diameter off a steel gate at 83 yards. There are shooters with high end guns and he's able to hit as many as everyone else regardless of the gun. We also shoot cans out to 150 yards and he's able to hang with any gun out there. He has 2 air tubes. He has one regulated to shoot 30 FPE and an unregulated tube where he can turn up the power to over 50 FPE easily with a simple hammer adjustment. He can do it in the field very fast.

Thanks for your imput.
My range is about the same as yours I have 25-50-75-100 yards set and then I have metal targets set up in between my set yardages. I don't know why but this Hatsan just wount leave my thoughts and for the price I don't think a person can go wrong, sure I want to get the Impact but don't think I'll be happy without that darn BullBoss in my collection, also the Crown has also intrigued me but I don't like being on a pre order even though I might need to go on a pre order with the BullBoss but I'll look around other places.
Im looking at getting a bipod and Hawke scope for it something like a 6-24x50 so I can reach out.

Imold,
Balanced is fantastic,
don't get me wrong, the gun is HEAVY,,,however, the balance point is exactly at the trigger guard,,,,so the weight is right in your wheelhouse between the hands.
I was exactly like you, and couldn't get it out of my head,,,,,,made the move and am so happy I did,,,,,
there is something about hitting a pest bird with a ultra quiet .25 ( and this thing is quiet as I hadn't mentioned that,,,,) and hearing the cracking of the pellet impact above the gun,,,,simply addicting.

one more thing Imold, there is a ping in the Boss,,,,,i bought a 2$ baby brush and 10 minutes later zero ping!!!!!!!

Got a .25 caliber refurb Bullboss directly from Hatsan a month or so ago for $479 + $5 shipping. The box looked like it went through hell but the rifle is perfect in appearance and function. It shoots JSB 25.39's at about 890fps which gives me 3 mags/27shots before I have to start holding over for the 4th mag on a 2900psi fill. Yes, it's heavy but as said well balanced and doesn't feel that heavy when sholdered. I've only shot it out to 45 yards but it's literally hole in hole accurate as long as I do my part. Tight 1/2" groups with the JSB 25.39, H&N 31.xxgr's and the JSB 33.95 gr. MarkIIs. The only thing negative for ME is I'm an old fart and wouldn't want to haul it around for a day in the woods even with a sling. Speaking of a sling I changed out the "swivels" it comes with and replaced them with some proper studs and put a nice padded sling on it. Didn't care for the gaudy HATSAN thing that came with it. I actually found that reversing the sling with the padded portion down & carry the rifle upside down works much better for me. I really love the thing. Hope this is helpful. Here's the link to get yourself one at a bargain price!

Thanks OldCorps! Don't know how I missed that, ya I do but now that I've looked and seen that I can save about 170 bucks I think I might go that route, the savings just about pays for a somewhat decent scope or I can buy the 4 get one free tins of 25.39gr pellets. I do have a nice Vortex Viper 1-6 I could put on it being its just hanging out in my AR tool/parts box.
Ill do some research on their refurbished airguns and think it over.

Yeah, it comes with the probe, 2 magazines, sling, degasser and spare O-rings. Everything a new one comes with except the $650 price tag. If you don't happen to have one already you'll need to pick up a male quick disconnect, 1/8" BSSP to hook up to the probe.

carries these as well. I'm a Prime member so I got one in 2 days, no shipping charge. Good luck.

Btw, what info are you looking for? I wondered about the warranty on their refurbs--it's 90 days. I actually felt more confident going with a refurb because the rifle was returned for some reason and I would expect them to repair & inspect it closet than it'd be done on an assembly line.

Oldcorps,
after reading your post regarding the sling I realized how awkward the sling "swivels" on board actually are. I always struggled with the rear one in particular when shooting from a bench, and cumbersome at best is how I would describe it.
ran down to the gun room and turned them out and replaced them with the proper studs. attached a nice leather sling UPDSIDEDOWN, World of difference with the new orientation,,,,
Well Done.

I just put my order in for a Refurbished BullBoss QE, I did find one place that had a new one but wasn't sure about the dealer, check his reviews but not much was there, to me it felt like a ok dealer but I ended up going with my gut feeling and ordered right from the Hatsan site.
I did order a couple extra mags and a Foster fitting for the Probe. It seemed like most people had issues with springers but Hatsans CS seemed to get a A+ from most so that helped me decide also.
Also found a interesting Airgun from FX called the Independence but at 1500 I need to think about for a few months and need to read more about it.
