I’m looking to get into pcp Airguns coming from a firearms background including years of shooting benchrest long distance match. Haven’t had the time or money to enjoy my powder burners. I’m thinking that transitioning would allow me to setup a a small basement range and weather permitting a range in the backyard so I can get in some trigger time between trips to a proper shooting range. That said, I’m on a budget and the Airmax and Knight both seem to fit what I’m looking for but there aren’t many reviews on the Knight and power numbers don’t seem to be very consistent. I like the idea that the Knight has power adjustment so I can tone it down since the basement range will only be about 10yrds but I still want to get performance at 100yrds when I’m at the local shooting range and I’m not sure the Knight is going to really satisfy that itch. I’m looking to spend around $1500 all in and already determined it’s worth getting a small compressor and something with larger shot count so that’s what has narrowed me down to these options however I’m open to other suggestions with high shot count in the sub $800 range (leaving some money in the budget for optics as well as the compressor). Oh and I’m looking at .25 under the thought it’s going to carry its energy farther.
Thanks in advance for any input,
Kyle
