Hatsan .30 cal vortex Supreme pellets.

Straight from Hatsan, but not verbatim, “hatsan has discontinued the 30 caliber 44.75 grain pellets in the Vortex Supreme line. A new design is in the process of being manufactured, which will perform way better than the previous Supremes”

Monkeyshine, I’ve searched high and wide, and they are no where to be found in stock, anywhere. I posted a tread about three weeks ago and the title was regarding FS no longer offering them on sale, or offering them period. An email reply from them told me hatsan has discontinued their manufacture, and I went ahead and got verification from hatsan.

A new design that will perform way better? Hard to imagine, as good as the old design was shooting for me. I'm really glad now that I re-tuned my Crown to shoot the 50 grain JSBs. Maybe I can ration my remaining Vortex pellets with the Wildcat until this new design shows up.

I replied back in humor to Hatsan, as I’ve taken the time to sort for head size, weigh to the nearest 10th each head size batch, and then separated the different head size groups and their different weights, for both the Vortex and the JSB’s.

what I told them was the vortex pellets only had 3 different head sizes compared to 5 with the JSB’s, and 4 different weights compared to the 6 different weights from the JSB’s. I asked if the new pellets coming out would beat that consistency, but received no reply back. I’m sure I’m telling them facts they already knew.

In the end of a sorting session, I was guaranteed in a tin of 150 Vortex at least 80-90 pellets were consistent and grouped in one tin, while the rest were spread out labeled chronograph testing and plinking pellets.

In the JSB’s for a tin of 150, I had maybe two different weighed groups that had approx 60 in each, and the rest scattered in the different weights.

So, if Hatsan develops a pellet that tops the consistency the Vortex has going for them, I will be impressed.

Very good information. I used them for price just thought they were exactly the same as JSB. Maybe the Hatsan was run on only one machine for manufacture. I know my Dream pup slings them at 80y touching consistently thats my test and they passed. Again that was good information you provided. If you hear about the new stuff let me know please.

When I first got into pcp’s i Bought the JSB 44.75 grainers when I obtained my first 30 cal. Out of the tin I wondered why they weren’t accurate or consistent like everyone else was preaching. Then a guy named Stoney on the forums told me about these Vortex pellets. Out of the tin they were more accurate, and the field supply savings was just icing on the cake.

it wasn’t till just 2 months ago, three years after since I got into pcp’s, that I discovered sorting(thanks RANGUR1), and I saw why the vortex pellets were more consistent.

If you’ve got 40 tins left you better hang on to those things and “use sparingly”, lol, as we all know about release dates given by manufacturers. I got a feeling Hatsan will come thru, though. I wouldn’t doubt if they already have a good batch made up, and are in the testing process
