Has anyone tried these GTO’s?

What have been your results?

I’m looking for a lighter alternative than the JSB 13.4g pellets to shoot out of my Steyr HFT rifle.

Michael, I have shot them out of my FX400 with good results. Same trajectory as the 18 gn JSB pellets but less energy on target but if target shooting it doesn't matter.
Do they lose speed that much faster? I just put them over a chrony. I've got this airgun set to shoot just under 20 fpe. Which equates to JSB 13.4g at 800 fps and the GTO 11.75g at 870.

??? Is that physically possible? Explain.
It is way above my head to explain. Look at the table below comparing rifled slugs in a shotgun.
On the 12 gauge, the slugs all weigh the same 1 ounce.
Subtract the difference at muzzle and 100 yards for each speed.
At 100 yards the one that started at 1760 fps has slowed down faster than the one that started at 1560 fps.
Hope this helps explain what I was saying.

I used these for HFT shooting them out of a CZ barrel and they were VERY accurate. The main downside that I found is that they were more affected by the wind than I expected. They were always very consistent with no flyers and no dented pellets in the tins. I went back to AA 16 grain pellets for better wind resistance. I can usually estimate the distance better than I can the wind correction so it made more sense for me.

I only shot .22cal for a few matches, and then went back to .177cal once I had a rig ready. .22cal is definitely not optimal for HFT.
