Has anyone successfully made a barrel locking mechanism for their springer?

Has anyone successfully made a barrel locking mechanism for their springer?

I want to design one for a Diana. I want to be able to do it with very minimal material usage. Does anyone have a diagram of the mechanism for a Walther, Weihrauch, or any other springer with a barrel locking mechanism…or perhaps an in depth explanation of how they work?

The mechanisms already on the guns seem robust enough to me and if you want more there are the sidelevers and underlevers that are even more so?

Way back when, some shops fitted breech latches to the FWB 124 to help with their weak lockup mechanisms. Google for a pic. Unfortunately the breech shim arrangement is so junky that I doubt it solved the issue completely. 

The Diana's have the same ball bearing detent, but much better executed. The FWB latch setup may be very similar to fit to the Diana. Never seen one in person, sorry I can't be more help
