Has anyone regretted the phone side shot and changed to the go pro?

Don't get me wrong, with the fimic app it is good on my XS max. The problem I have is ease/quickness of use. If I hop out of bed and see a chipmunk or squirrel I have to make a decision as to if I want to load the phone, focus, get the lighting right and then record a shot. Often times I would rather not waste the time and take the shot anyway and lose the footage.

I have a go pro 5 that is really not doing anything and would have no issue making it a dedicated side shot unit. I also do not mind getting the extra side shot mount so I have both as I have 2 guns.

With that being said, is there much messing around once the go pro setup is mounted before you can record ( other than the battery life)

I went with the gopro immediately as I am familiar with it. As for fiddling it will depend on what version you go with. If you chose the gopro 4 there will be fiddling with it as you may have to swap out the current lens for a better one then focus it so it sees the scope reticle. It is more cost effective than the gopro 7 version. Personally flavor though but I am super happy with my gopro 4 setup. I will later move up to the setup that will focus itself.

It would be great if side-shot will sell just the side-shot GoPro case attachment for people that has the original side-shot phone mounts without having to buy the entire side-shot GoPro kit. As far as I can tell the side-shot phone holder can be unscrew off and replace it with the Side-shot GoPro case.

I have never gotten the quality with it I wanted so I have purchased a GoPro 4 and 7 and ordered lenses for both and will see if I can mount it on my original side shot. I ordered the high dollar lenses from eagle vision so we shall see what happens.

I thought the same but with 2 guns I'd need to buy the $50 mount and the adapter ( if they were to sell) and I would be limited to go pro only. I do like using my phone for ease of uploads or just sending it to my friends as well.

Next will be deciding on the eagle vision lens.

I have a go pro 4 and 5. 5 is the same chassis as the 7 from what I can see and planned on putting the lens in any way.

I have both phone and gopro sideshot and settled on neither and went with the Tactacam. Up and running in mins and is very easy for me to use. I would recommend it if your having any frustration like I did with sideshot applications.

I have seen that brought up before. Do they work good, nice zoom at say 50-60 yards? I really don't care to attempt a shot past this.
